We are delighted to launch this page with an interview from Graham Randles, Programme Manager for the Mayor of London's Green Procurement Code. The procurement code is a free support service for London-based organisations committed to reducing their environmental impact through responsible purchasing.
Graham talks to URS Corporation Ltd about trends in recycling and sustainable procurement as well as looking at the big challenges and giving his advice.
Graham combines 17 years business experience as a senior manager in international business, with 2 years managing the delivery of the services of the Green Procurement Code, ensuring that London Remade delivers a high level of business support to organisations signed up to the code. He is also responsible for the producing the annual review to measure the success of Green Procurement Code members in helping to make London a more sustainable city.

Julia Murray is a member of the B&Q UK Social Responsibility Team and her area of expertise is timber (B&Q is a UK home improvement retailer, owned by Kingfisher Plc.) Julia works with the Commercial and Quality Assurance teams within B&Q to monitor timber and forest products coming into the business to ensure they meet the requirements of B&Q’s timber policy. She is also responsible for reporting performance to the B&Q Board, the Kingfisher Board and the WWF UK Forest and Trade Network (FTN). Julia has been the timber expert in the B&Q UK Social Responsibility Team for 3 years and has first-hand experience of the practicalities and challenges associated with implementing and adhering to a responsible timber policy.
